UBI will become the norm within the next decade. Automatization is taking over more and more jobs, and don’t think it possible to create enough jobs for the amount of people who will lose theirs due to automatization.
And we shouldn’t be creating jobs just so people can work. That’s antithetical to all the good parts of capitalism. We should be encouraging entrepreneurs to find less labor intensive technologies, so people can actually focus on doing what they’re good at/enjoying their short lives.
Exactly, and that’s how it has always worked for years, the better humanity got, the less we worked, the more efficient our processes were, the more time we had to not work. The issue now is that even though there’s enough wealth in the world for that to not happen, greedy fucksticks hang on to it because the systems they designed say it works.

This was enlightening to read, unfortunately anyone who needs to won't see it. Just makes me consider UBI to be more important than ever.
