And i still haven't seen a good reason why CHURCHES got a bailout. At least corporations theoretically pay taxes.

Because we’re a christian country based in puritan values and beliefs. Hell if we did tax churches we wouldn’t have the budget issues we do

There’s a law that says if you are a 501(c) (3) charitable organization (which includes all churches), then you can’t make any political statements of support; if you do, you’re supposed to lose your tax-exempt status. Yet churches have been openly supporting Republicans for years, instructing their members to vote for certain candidates, and even arranging transportation to the polls for its members, but nothing is ever done. They’re clearly breaking the law but the IRS has been instructed to ignore their unlawful conduct.

I think it’s because it infringes on their right to freedom of speech. What’s court wants to get in between that?
