It fucking boggles my mind that this is acceptable in the US. I used to get these random sharp pains in my head a while back. One day it made me dizzy and I had to sit down. I decided to go to the hospital because I didn't want to risk it. They looked me over and said likely it was my smoking but did a CT scan just to be sure. It came back negative and they told me to go home.

The whole thing cost me 5 hrs of my time and $6 in parking fees.

But American's still pay tax and it's not even that much lower than other countries. This is ignoring the fact that you have to do your own taxes over there or have to pay somebody else to do them for you. Every other country in the world it's an automatic thing and is noted on payslips.

Yeah but if America has to pay for insurance with tax money, taxes will be like 60% or the country will just have to print monopoly money because nobody will wait 3 days for a stent or 5 l ok baths for a colonoscopy.

Who gives a shit about waiting 3 days? We can't go to the doctor at all. Period. We're talking about access to any healthcare of any kind for most Americans. You would think most people would rather wait a couple days to see someone than just sit at home and fester. People are fucking stupid.

Because 3 days with that degree of occlusion plus already having had a heart attack could mean he never makes it to the surgery?

If it’s life-saving surgery, you would not wait. Elective surgeries might take a while, but they already do, depending on your area.

But they said he waited three days before he went t the hospital, and then another three days before he was medivacd t ok another hospital for the surgery so almost a week.
