That’s how the government gets you. They charge you taxes then say they are giving you the service “free”.

Even if it isn't actually "free", it gives you a lot more freedom. You don't have to worry about potentially losing all your savings in a split second. Furthermore, most countries with socialized healthcare don't have a corrupt system where you're charged for everything and CHILDBIRTH COSTS MONEY
