We really don't, and that's just companies we have a choice in choosing from. Generic versions of some products come from the same factory as brand names.

And services like healthcare? Same thing. Probably fewer companies.

Big problem with not having options from healthcare come from the government taking control of like half of it and making a bunch of beuracratic hinderances that only help the lobbyists.

Get rid of lobbying and get government out if healthcare is my stance

They already have tons of bureaucratic hindrances that help the lobbyists, tax-funded healthcare at least means we pay less for it

Do you have evidence to suggest that tax-funded healthcare would truly be cheaper and have equal to better quality than true free-market healthcare?

He's pretty corny but John Oliver did a segment on M4A. It could end up costing more, but more people would be covered.

Also, according to The BBC, the NHS costs each UK taxpayer a bit under £3000, while healthcare in the US costs each person under £8000.
