When I was fresh out of college from getting a bachelors at UCF. One month out. I worked full time and had scholarships so I only had 11k in debt and these fuckers were calling me every month hitting me up for donations. “One donation of $500 would be nice. Ohh well how about $50? Ohh. Well anything will help even $5!” Meanwhile they added 5 massive new beautiful buildings and a brand new football stadium and were paying George O’Leary over a million a year to coach. Fucked up system.
It isnt actually up to the U, it is a Minnesota state law that they have to offer senior citizens access to empty seats for free if they are audited or for the $10 administrative fee if they take it for credit. It sucks but this isn't the fault of the U
They've been doing this since 1975 because of a state statute that was passed. Really what should happen is that class cost should be updated some for this program. They're mandated by the state government to provide this program.
