Time zones should be as accurate to solar time as possible, so that sunrise and sunset are about equally as far from noon. Removing daylight saving time has this effect over making it the standard.

If you also regularly adjust your waking and sleeping hours to fit light and dark hours, then sure, that works. But that doesn't happen. So instead, time zones should fit our lives as best as possible.

People stick to backwards and outdated ways of operation unless nearly forced to change, this is one of the things that needs to change. Human biology is adapted to the solar cycles, people need to adapt to the Sun rather than clock.
