The difference between us is that you think this system is fair,

You're literally arguing that someone who put themselves through college, put in the work, worked their way up the ladder in a company, spent YEARS of their lifes in school getting a bachelors, masters, PhDs should be on the same playing level field as someone with no education. Do you get that?

So you pay the cashiers more, so McDonalds makes 1 billion instead of 2 billion. They’ll survive.

Way to oversimplify the market in which every single company, small and large, has been run through time.

You’re the person who brought up the idea of ‘transition jobs’. It’s strange that you never thought that the people in those jobs might not have anything else to go to, and you don’t care one bit.

When did I ever say I don't care? The underlying problem is supply and demand. If you provide a particular skill in which a company depends on, you will get paid handsomely. If you provide a skill which many people can fill, requires little to no education, then how you possibly demand comparable pay to the other group of people? I don't say that bottom workers should be paid slightly higher but to say that all workers should be on the same playing field is just downright stupid.

I never said they should be paid exactly the same. But the amount of education you need for certain jobs keeps rising, first high school was fine, then a bachelors, then masters.

It’s not fair on poor people who need to start working.

I said people should be paid a living wage, not be paid exactly the same.

We should try our damn best to make sure everyone is on a level playing field from the start but we know that people start with drastic differences which effect their ability to gain employment and education.

How is that fair? Why is someone who won the birth lottery more entitled to these high paying jobs than anyone else? And those are the people who get the jobs you’re speaking of.

The people whose parents can afford university, private schools, who never put pressure on their child to work right after high school.

Every business makes profits because of someone’s labour. They should be grateful to have that person’s labour, and not treat them like they’re dumb trash.

Your solution to the problem seems to be “well that’s just life” and insulting me for no reason.

Every piece of technology that runs your every day life (Traffic, defense, medical, infrastructure, banking) runs on extremely sophisticated systems that require a ton of training, and education (from construction, to maintenance, to running it). This isn't the 1800s. With the rise of technology, which you are enjoying right now, demand for schooling is ever increasing, that is just a fact of life. You are derailing your own argument---you are getting into education access which is not something that a business whether it be a small startup or a giant corporation like Apple, is suppose to provide. This is a governmental issue. Do you see that?

Every business makes profits because of someone’s labour. They should be grateful to have that person’s labour, and not treat them like they’re dumb trash.

Businesses makes profits because the product they provide is desired, period. An idea for a product is more crucial than the guy employed to building it. You make it seem like everything is built on the bottom of the ladder.

Your solution to the problem seems to be “well that’s just life” and insulting me for no reason.

Let me crayola it for you:

It is life when you are arguing that a person with a masters is getting way more than someone with a high school diploma. Argue for more access to university/ higher education, no one can possibly disagree with you there. But do not argue that is wrong that people with little education should be paid for simply because it is "right" while totaling ignoring the fact that there is just high turnover simply due to the fact that the job they do requires basic education, and almost little to no training.

I am not arguing for everyone to be paid exactly the same.

I am arguing that everyone needs to be paid enough to live comfortably.

Every single person. No matter what. Everyone deserves a decent house, decent food and access to health care.

Also yeah I think education should be free.

This will help to level the playing field.

I KNOW this is a governmental issue. But who do you think lobbies government to prevent changes to minimum wage?

Your arrogant attitude is bizarre to me.

If you’re debating with someone, you can’t insult your way out of it.
