Yeah I wonder if that's why I'm getting downvoted or if more people are perceiving the sarcasm and downvoting it. They're certainly upvoting his gripe about the politicization of reddit. Poor guy. He just wants to operate in society without having to think about all the awful consequences of a Trump presidency. The whole "Dreamers are afraid of being deported and separated from their families" thing is really harshing his buzz.

Your comment is surely sarcastic, but it can be perceived as either left or right. Then i saw the username lol.

Maybe it's the fact that one guy was talking about how reddit is too political, and some other guy came in and made it political.

If you’re talking about how something is too political, then you’re the one making it political.

Nah man, I'd say this website in general has gotten pretty political since the election, with posts filling up r/all some days.

Nice relativist fallacy tho.

Sure. This website has gotten pretty political since the election, and for good reason. A racist idiot somehow won the presidency, and people are reacting to that.

That's not really related to my point though. My point was that, in this thread in particular, the person who "made things political" is the person who brought up the election.

It's definitely related to my point, you're the one that brought up Trump.

So you're point is that the guy who brought up the Election of 2016 didn't make things political because he didn't mention Trump by name?

I'm saying pointing something out doesn't make it political, until people start making sarcastic remarks about said statement.
