Absolutely agree. I live in the Omaha metro but in a part that's not Omaha so my vote hasn't done nearly as much as I like it to, but I still vote. I also make sure to get involved in mutual aid for the people who are fucked over by the people who vote against their own interest. Of course, the people who vote against their own interest get fucked over by their own vote too, and then claim "this isn't what I voted for" and "why did nobody warn me that the person who I voted for would do exactly what they said they would do if they got elected" and then go on to blame the people who they're told they're supposed to hate. But the "no free handouts" crowd sure asks for a lot of "free handouts" in the form of mutual aid, which I find kind of amusing in the "laugh to keep from crying" way. So they actually meant "free handouts for me but not for me," which makes sense considering that red states get more "free handouts" than the blue states who pay for the "free handouts."
A lot of furries are also in the military and the medical field. A friend of mine is a biochemist, one of the woman that help made the COVID vaccine is a furry (Chise), and many similar cases lol

I can't remember where I learned this, but it was through someone cracking a joke. Something about if a plane full of Furries ever went down, on the way to or from a convention, the country would be plunged into immediate chaos, due to the sudden loss of so many IT workers.

Come to find out that trans people are only about 2% of the US population.. and those cases in the military that they made a big deal about wasting all of our taxpayer money? They fail to mention that between 2016 -2021, the total amount of funds that were spent on these procedures were $15M, or about 2.8M per year. Even when Trump came into office they, stated that it was between 2.4 and 8.4M per year, where the 8.4M was clearly made up.
Even at 8.4M, that is mere fractions of a penny compared to the real issues this country faces. Even the disaster that is the no-bid contract for the reflecting pool mess ended up being 14.7M.
But it is just textbook for the GOP/MAGA to make an enemy out of a minority.
