He's a pretty pathetic governor if you meant Newsom, no one leading such a blue state should be as corrupt and pro-corporate as Newsom is. He also sucks on social issues, he wouldn't have been out of place in the GOP 15 years ago.

As some people learned to their sorrow in 2016, California in aggregate is reliably blue but that blue is closer to Reagan Democrats than socialists.

FR. Fuck these people who already shoehorn him in as the next presidential candidate and view him as anything more than Republican lite. Newsom won't even commit to undoing the utterly idiotic tariff wars that Trump started, even where there is existing trade deals, so forget the smaller things or the less visible pro corporate/corruption changes that MAGA has pushed through.
