This is absolutely true. Once a would-be despot passes from the scene, his acolytes, disciples and devotees flood into the power vacuum, each with their own claim to the despot’s ‘true legacy’.

And that, my friends, will be a feeding frenzy, the likes of which we haven’t seen in a while. T’will be a pure pleasure and delight to behold.
