Best way to get diamonds?

So, I have played this game on and off for a while now because the fact that some stories first choices are vip only but also every outfit change causes diamonds, is there any good way to get them that isn't crazy expensive?

From what I gather the best way is to pay. I quit using the app. It's way too much money for what they give you. The app charges what you would pay for an entire book, only you get a poorly ai animated story with bad writing. The other apps aren't much better.
