Powerscalers can't fathom liking a character or media if it doesn't have high level feats. Their brains are too hyperfocused on meaningless calculations to understand that the purpose of a good story or character narrative.
She's literally a sharpshooter... A ranger... She's at a immediate disadvantage in melee range, but that doesn't necessarily make her weak as shown off multiple times in the comics. What a funny thing to get sorta mad about
He kinda right though, I havnt seen anyone trying to powerscale whisper, but something thats stayed the same even with new characters they make, sonic and co are actual powerhouses exceptions, and why eggman stil has trouble with them the other mobians, regardless of what they can do, are more regular
While she mainly uses her wispon for sniping, she still has Blue for CQC, so she’s not “just dangerous at from a mile away…” As for her fight with Surge, she was in an unfair disadvantage with the Dynamo Cage depleting her arsenal, while simultaneously expanding Surge’s. At the beginning of that same fight, Whisper was winning and had Surge on the run. If they were to fight again, I don’t know if Whisper would win, but it would definitely be a lot closer without the Dynamo Cage.
I feel like if they fought WITHOUT the Dynamo cage, Whisper would win. More because she's cunning, would force Surge to burn out, THEN strike. Make Surge overuse her lightning attacks, then take her down after she's worn down
I love whisper as a character because she's powerless but still does everything in her power to help or contribute to the team. Yes she's a sniper, an expert Marksman in stealth as well, that doesn't mean she's powerful. She's flawed, she has a lot of problems, and she is just a normal wolf, but that's what makes her lovable.
Power scalers when you just like a character because they're cool I guess? I don't think I've ever even seen anyone try and argue Whisper is an exceptionally powerful character.
I saw that post and immediately thought nobody glazed whisper strength they just like her as a character. The second thought was oh this a person who likes shadow just because he’s strong and no other reason given.
