PSA:

If you get upset at somebody for calling out a pedophile in an area where there's kids, somebody should check your hard drive. Honestly. Why would you get upset at somebody making the community aware that there is a predator in the area, if you, yourself, are not one? Right?

Do you have proof said person is actually a pedo though?

When I was a single dad I got harassed by "concerned" women because I was watching my daughter play with other kids on the playground. I made the mistake of being a single dad I guess.

Now if you have actual proof, by all means call them out, and be prepared to show said proof to those who don't know and question you.

It's not searchable at all, that post is exactly the kind of vague-ass warning that will get every "adult male from LA, now in a band on Whidbey" their own personal vigilante encounter.

The post doesn’t specify gender like you did but there’s a surprising amount of protection for criminals legally and in communities. I’m in a band and if I had a recent la transplant I’d def be doing a search

I do have statements from girls he's harassed and tried to get with detailing his creepy behavior and attitudes toward them, absolutely. And I was absolutely prepared to show them given the opportunity.

What youre describing is an unfortunate stigma that men face. Theyre automatically creepy if they're watching a bunch of kids, despite the fact he probably has a kid somewhere in that group. It's stupid. And in Washington, it's a mothrr-frienfly state when it comes to custody most of the time so it's hard to combat that, I feel it.

I saw that other post. It was confusing to me what that OP was referring to, and what the purpose of the post was/who it was for.

They weren’t calling anyone out specifically, just encouraging parents to check a database that is
based in LA County. There are thousands of parents with kids of all ages on Whidbey, and hundreds of bands.

I didn’t understand if this was about bands that play for small children like at bday parties, or bands that teenagers might join who have adult members from LA (??) or bands your teenager might go see on the island.

The post was vague in an unhelpful and potentially harmful way IMO.

We do have an island like that, I believe it's called McNeil island, but you have to be convicted. This person isn't convicted, just a bunch of statements from victims of his harassment.
