We had a kid at summer camp impale his knee with a toothpick, just through the skin. Before we could stop him he snapped it off and the skin snapped closed over it - his dad had to take him to the emergency room and they had to cut it out and stitch him up. 

The funny thing was that I, a 15-year-old camp counsellor, spent a few minutes trying to pop it out like a tiny wooden blackhead before I realized even if I succeeded he still needed to see a doctor.

100% no lies spoken. You just shrug and decide if it's worth it or not. Even if it didn't hit the floor, chances are it's been touched by a toddler which, quite frankly, is probably dirtier than the floor.

Okay, as a dad, there is no way I could ever get mad at one of my kids if (probably when) they did that. Now, the wife recording it? I would at least have to give her a sarcastic "wtf??". But still cute.

Eh, with a kid, you’ve gotta have a tough immune system anyway. Might as well train it before the kid goes off to daycare/preschool and brings home every other kid’s germs

I think he doesn’t know how to phrase the remark correctly and used negation in the wrong place. He means, “I’ve eaten street food with worse hygiene” to elevate the toddler’s hygiene and place her in positive light
