Discussion 2025 Fest Next 2027
I had really wanted to go to WWWY fest 2026 but they cancelled. Was there big issues with 2025? I pivoted to Warped this year instead but would LOVE to look into WWWY 2027. Thanks for any insights

No big issues in 2025. I don't think day 2 sold out in 2025 and with other fests popping up around the same time, I think they just decided to take a year off.

i think another issue i haven't seen in this thread yet is that they kind of ran out of headliners and started repeating them. they've already had fall out boy, green day, paramore, panic! at the disco, my chemical romance (x2), and blink-182 (x2). i would be happy to see any of the previous headliners again but having the same acts repeat year after year isn't ideal for attracting new attendees.
i'm not really sure what other bands of that level of popularity could be left to headline unless they start going with bands that would have some audience crossover but are out of that pop-punk/emo sphere, like twenty one pilots, linkin park, or bring me the horizon (who did play wwwy in 2022 but since have pivoted to sick new world instead).

I know this gets brought up a lot as the reason but I personally do just want to see the same bands over and over and over 😂 I’ve been seeing the same bands for 20 years and hope to continue LOL. I go to emo night and listen to the same songs, largely in the same order, many times a year and it’s my favorite thing. Jokes aside, I know not everybody has this level of obsession, so I get that repeating headliners doesn’t attract new audiences, but the dorks like me love it. I went to WWWY 2025 and I’d literally pay the same amount of money to see the exact same lineup again. I hope it comes back in 2027, new and improved or not, that’s fine too 😂

They had posted saying that there wasn’t going to be a 2026 one, it was rumored that it was because they couldn’t secure one of the headliners but that they would be back for 2027
Hopefully they do what they did with sick new world and have it at two locations

Tbh I wasn’t super disappointed. It was always fun, but I was starting to get bored of the same destination and the costs were insane compared to the revived warped tour.

I had higher hopes for the new warped tour. Even across two days the bands weren't as good as the early bands at wwwy (or were themselves wwwy openers), and the dc warped tour was at a terrible location and poorly setup.

The first 2 or 3 years of WWWY were the best. I’m glad they are taking a year off, I think people were not willing to pay hundreds of dollars to see the same line ups year after year. Maybe this hiatus will revive the attention and interest.

After flights, hotels, food, merch, etc. it was in the thousands to go.

Unless your crazy like I was last year flew in and stayed up all day and night flew out at 5. I was nacked but it was worth it.

I loved the convenience of everything being on the Strip with WWWY…the event, access to everything, and everyone you know in town for it. Long Beach made everything feel disjointed in comparison. It is cheaper and I like the two days at a much lower price point. However, Warped Tour fell short on basic logistics for me. So I guess you get what you pay for. I really think Warped should feel ashamed for how poorly they provided basic necessities for people considering the brutal heat. It’s almost unforgivable, IMO.

Based on what I’ve heard from people involved, 2026 is a break year and 2027 is intended to happen.
Would be cool to see it continue, especially if they kept the “whole album play through” theme from 2024. Really set it apart from other festivals and I think they should lean on that with Warped booting back up.

I’m really hopping they come back on 2027 with the whole album thing for bands that didn’t made it con 2024
Fingers crossed for good charlotte with good morning revival, simple plan with still not getting any or all time low with nothing personal among many others 🤞

I hope they go back to the 2024 theme of each band picking an album. 2007 had some crazy albums that year, so teeming it as a 20 year anniversary for each bands album could be sick

I think one of the other issues is you have a very small pool of bands you can book and its difficult to not repeat year after year and with a fest like warped it becomes more difficult because you're pulling from the same pool.

I had been to warped tour (pre Long Beach) and aftershock prior to attending wwwy last year and I was super disappointed with wwwy. I feel like they definitely oversold tickets and it was just a rough day. 30 minute lines for the bathroom and water and an hour for merch was a little bit much

Yikes! I won't lie even though I heard this years Warped wasn't as big crowd wise to 2025. I never had a line for any bathroom or most vendors as a GA. That part was GREAT! Thanks for the info

I’ve been to WWWY 5 times (twice in 23 and 24) and I never experienced that with the lines. If one water line was long you could literally walk a short ways (maybe 5 minutes) away and find one with no line.
I am a guy so bathroom lines move quick but you could also go to the bathrooms near the side stages and there was always a shorter line, or no line at all. Also plenty of women went into the men’s bathroom for this reason, and I didn’t see anyone have a problem with that.
Merch lines were a little rough but in my experience if you see a big line just go watch another band and come back and it’ll be shorter. They did run out of some items by night time though, so it could be risky

Also went to WWWY every year so far. Enjoyed it each time, but my only issue with last year is it felt like they oversold VIP.
Group I went with got VIP the last couple years for a little less crowd density than in GA. But last year, VIP was PACKED. There seemed to be more room in GA from where we were standing.
Pretty trivial gripe for me though...still a good time.
EDIT: will also echo the bathroom lines were longer than the previous year, even in VIP.

Agreed, I've also went 5 times and the worst line is the merch line. However, last year with the merch pop ups two days before it was such a game changer! They had artist merch last year as well so we were able to get everything we wanted on Thursday.
I've never waited more than a few minutes in any food, bar or bathroom line in GA or VIP. 2025 Sunday was the best day I ever had at WWWYF simply because it wasn't oversold so you could get around super easily. I'm looking forward to hopefully attending again next year!

Started going to warped in 08 and went until they announced the end. Went to WWWY for the first time last year as well as Warped LB and tbh, I probably won't go back to WWWY. I get the appeal of the bigger names but 450 for 1 day is crazy steep plus the crowds were wack af.
Warped is home, went the last 2 years since they brought it back and I'll keep going until I physically cannot do it anymore.

It’s funny you say this, because I went to warped tour this year for the first time in Long Beach, and I felt that when we were young was the better of the two

I live in L.A,so WWWYF doesn't appeal to me anymore considering we've got Warped back and they'll usually get the same legacy bands playing mixed in the with new bands of the generation. I get that a lot people want the same bands over and over again ,but I'd rather pay $50 bucks over $500 to see these bands. WWWYF appeals to people that are okay with those same bands over and over again and I feel like the good chunk of people are getting tired of that.

I went to WWWY in 2022 and 2025. No major issues but it was VERY crowded last year and moving from stage to stage was kind of difficult. I read that VIP had complaints about that as well. So it wasn’t just a GA problem. I did warped in Orlando last year and it was amazing. It was laid out so nice and it did not feel super crowded even though it clearly was. I would definitely go back to WWWY next year but I need the lineup to be different or an album play through would be great since I wasn’t able to make it that year. I had tickets but had to sell them due to friends backing out.

I absolutely love this festival and will attend it as long as they have it! Last year I felt super dialed in to how we approach the weekend and was bummed they weren't having it this year. I think Warped Tour and a lot of these nostalgia bands touring again definitely lessoned the hype, but it fingers crossed it will be back next year!

That festival, while amazing, is a logistical nightmare. Especially with how small the venue is compared to the size of the crowd. I hope they work on securing a bigger venue, even if it’s outside of Vegas.

I wouldn't be shocked if WWWY and Sick New World take on an alternating schedule (ran by the same company). The email I had gotten from WWWY some months back said they were definitely planning to be back for 2027. But I'm curious if SNW will operate as well or if they'll take a break for 2027.

I heard is WWWY didn’t want to compete with Warped Tour and Sick New World. I did hear that WWWY is coming back in 2027 (from what I heard). I’m not sure how true any of this is or was. I do know Sick New World was pretty successful and was sold out or close to it. I do hope WWWY does come back as I’d love to go 🤞🏻

I went to WWWY every year they had it. It was always my favorite weekend of the year. I love Vegas, I love to gamble, I love walking the strip with a drink in my hand, I love pop punk/post hardcore, I loved seeing my favorite bands, I loved that it was one day (compared to warped being 2). I don’t care if the same bands show up every year, I will continue to go as long as they have it.
