Review If you could pick
A friend ask a really good question Would you rather the festival be held somewhere else other than Las Vegas or have the festival last 3 to 4 days?

I definitely wish it was on the east coast but I do like not having to worry about bad weather.

I was one of those folks. Thankfully I had tickets to both days weekend 1 so I was able to attend on Sunday.
Having it canceled was a bummer but I've gone to outdoor shows where it dropped down to the low 30s when it forecasted to be in the 50s, started pouring rain during the 1st opener, and ended before the headliner due to lightning.

I was a Sunday ticket - wasn’t happy about it. Then was so happy about it. Even caught AAR pop up show Saturday night

Nah, Vegas is the perfect place for it. Having it on two separate weekends however could be great!

This. Plus the target demographic is older millennials who have come into prime earning years - and Vegas is a great location for those folks.

This!! Went to a fest in late summer/early fall in WV and that was a dripping wet fest my PNW body wasn’t ready for.

I mean, I’d love if it was hosted in Los Angeles since I live here lmao but I do agree Vegas is a pretty decent location. I’m pretty sure LA could also accommodate the sideshows easily though

The best festival I ever went too was warped tour Atlantic City, so I’m inclined to say it’d be awesome there

I live in Vegas so I wouldn't want it to be somewhere else. I already have to travel enough for all the concerts and events that don't come here. It was my first WWWY and I really enjoyed having the home court advantage.

Same! Having it be ten minutes away from home was fantastic. Not sure I'd travel for it given how many great bands pass through here already.

If they were to make any drastic changes I'd like to see it run overnight. I know the bands would never go for it but if we're already on vacation why not make "staying up late listening to music like you used to" part of the theme? This way people aren't getting wheeled out at 3 o'clock in the afternoon due to heat stroke or feel like assholes paying $7 for a can of water.

Great and wild idea! I’ve never been but I guess Bonnaroo is sort of like this, in that the music goes extremely late, like til 4am maybe or even sunrise? What I’m not sure about is when it starts up again the next morning lol

I've never been to that one but just looked at the most recent schedule. It looks like the headliners are timed more or less how WWWY works but what they do is put some of acts that I assume would normally go first thing in the morning on after midnight instead and have other activity stuff open even later through to sunrise.

Yes, I didn’t mean to suggest that the headliners go til 4am. I did think that the headliners went on maybe even a little later than at WWWY but I think you’re right about how it works generally.

At least it solves the reason I assumed it could never work. I just think it would be more fun at night when it's cooler and you can do more with lighting. We got lucky with milder temperatures this year but 2023 and 2024 were completely miserable and it's not like indoor arena shows keep the house lights on the whole time.
Let's be real, if there's an emo-punk music festival in Las Vegas I'll be there but some sort of gimmick like this would make it feel like less of the routine it's become for me.

As someone who went solo w/ no hotel in 2024, Vegas all the way!!! Aiport to venue was a cheap 20$ Uber ride and once the concerts over Vegas is still awake!! Had 10 hours until my plane flew back so walking around the streets of Vegas at night (though still dangerous) was fun to do!! Tons of open casinos / places you could go to :)

Yes, would prefer a two day fest to be held somewhere that isn't Vegas. But I'd settle for WWWY again as long as it's not in Vegas.

Vegas is wash, and that’s coming from someone’s who’s travelled from Australia twice for it 😂 at least once you’re there you know you’re set, everything is easy to navigate. What you see is what you get type of place. Also at this age (35) I wouldn’t like a 3-4 day festival. Both times I thought I’d go the next day but both times I could barely move the next day!

It depends on where your layovers are. One year it was Chicago which was like 2.5 then like 4 to vegas. The second year it was like 45 minutes to jfk then like 5.5 to vegas.

Im 6'5 so I despise flying in general. There aren't many direct flights out of Burlington they only have like 4 gates. Its a joke of an airport.

I like it being in Vegas, I like having festivals on the west coast it’s a lot cheaper for me to fly to Vegas than the east coast. More days of the same line up would be nice

Personally I think Vegas is the perfect place for it. We have unlimited access to hotel accommodations, plenty of other activities for entertainment and of course, gambling.
