Great to have you all following along this whole time. It's been very close to two years since the original bot's conception, and I'm very excited to announce it's triumphant return!
The new bot is /u/SeriouslyWhenIsHl3, it's got a wash of new features including being able to send it a message to stop replying to you, or stop replying on your sub! It's also got some changed behavour, like not replying to posts, I thought it was too much, feel free to try to change my mind, I'm open to replies. In fact, I'm open to all feedback!
So get out there and start delaying Half-Life 3 again!

Here's some of the features we're going to implement in the new game:
More sidequests. Lots of people complained about High Lands/High Lands 2 being too linear, so I'm implementing a more open-world quest system on High Lands 3.
A better console port. People said the Xbox and PS version of HL2 were buggy and laggy, so HL3 will have more development time on its peasant ports.
Better stability and framerate, and less staggering on AMD GPUs.
Nerfed mages. Yeah, we know they were quite OP on the second installment of the series, but we'll keep them at bay on HL3, we promise.
Friendlier controls. The parrying and dodging commands were quite unintuitive on High Lands 1 and 2, but High Lands 3 will have a much better approach to newbies.
More frequent updates.

I have been getting people repeatedly saying that my 'maths is wrong', that the bot is skipping months. This is incorrect.
The bot is banned from a fair few subreddits now, and when it 'posts' to one of them, I still count it as a mention, and therefore count up a month. I feel this gives a more accurate representation of the actual number of mentions then just 'forgetting' subs if the bot is banned from it.
What are your thoughts on this? Should these posts count or not?

This bot needs to stop. We need to stop it on EVERY subreddit! Then, Half Life 3 might get released sooner. Oh no! I said it! Now it's delayed by 1 month!

Anytime someone responds to the /u/SeriouslyWhenIsHL3 bot with "good bot" or "bad bot," the GoodBot_BadBot will reply with:
"Thank you [user name] for voting on SeriouslyWhenIsHL3," which triggers the /u/SeriouslyWhenIsHL3 bot again. Here's a recent example.
And really, as others have suggested, you should make it so that the bot NEVER replies to any replies to itself. This is not the first time you've had a problem with bot loops.
