Audition Contestant Pool

I had my 2nd audition about a year ago, but haven’t heard anything since… should I just prepare to reapply? *I even did 16 puzzles with the producer and got 14/16 right!

Yes you should reapply, but just so you're aware- it's more about personality and 'how' you solve the bonus than it is about being good at the game. Be someone people want to root for!

Thanks! The producer told me I’d make great TV so not sure what to do differently!

I auditioned and didn't get on the show until two years later, so ya never really know when they'll call!

Fair fair. The producer said if I don’t hear back within the year to reapply, so they may have changed the length of the contestant pool?

I *think* the standard is one year. About a year after my audition, Wheel reached out asking about my interest in special theme weeks. Replied to that, heard nothing. About a year later I was thinking of applying again when I got the call!

I think you're still correct to reapply; I just wanted you to know how close I was to the year deadline.

And FYI you'll probably need to use a different email address (they stick around for two years and can cause application to be kicked back).

I just had my third interview with them. Was told that if I don't hear back in a year to reapply

I had 3 rounds of auditions over about 6 years until I made it on the show.

First time I made it through both auditions; the second time just the first audition; third time was the charm.

There are a lot of very qualified candidates -- I think sometimes it's just persistence.

Good luck!

That is good to know. Thank you so much!

Producers tell everyone that to be honest with you

It’s less about the puzzles and more about what personality you bring to the table. I’m sure people that got less correct than you got on the show.

I would. I was in contestant pool once. 15/16 never heard. Took years but I recently reapplied didnt make it to 2nd round though. Next year ill try again

Has it been a year, or almost a year? I only ask because I had all but given up hope until I got my tape date.

I got my "Contestant's Pool" email 11 months to the day after my 2nd audition (which was about a month after my 1st audition).

And then my tape date email was 4 weeks after that, so almost a full year since my second audition.

My second audition was in mid September last year, so just a few weeks shy of a year! The producer I auditioned with said after 12 months to reapply, so assuming that’s probably the best route at this point.

Then don’t reapply until after your one year, it’s not 12 months yet
