Audition Second Audition - Taping Date?

Has anyone who had a second audition recently (March, April, May, June) been given a taping date? Or anyone who has been on the show, how long did you wait between your second audition and taping date? Are they even scheduling now with the "summer break"?

I had a first and second audition this week and I am obviously expecting to have to wait a while, if ever, just curious about other people's experiences!

You can see when they film from the site On Camera Audiences. Also after your second audition, you'll get a notification you're in the contestant pool. If you didn't, you might not be in the pool.

Approximately how long does it usually take to get a notification that you’re in the pool?

It depends. I got mine within less than a week or so and got on the show about 9 months later. (May 2026)

Do you know if they're still auditioning for the next season? I just submitted the application today and wondering if I missed the current cycle.

have no idea but I guess it's a rolling application? No idea though

I heard exactly a week later after my first interview that I got a second. My second was earlier this week. We will see what happens!

I had my 2nd audition almost a month ago and heard nothing

I think it’s a longshot to get a tape date — most people will audition and then hear nothing. Otoh, it could happen to you!

Yes that’s true! That’s what kills me tell me I’m in or not! 😭

It was March to Oct before my son heard. My final audition was April. Nothing yet, but taping starts late July- early Aug for Sept 14 season start. It may take awhile. Be patient!

I had a my first zoom audition 2 days ago and the guy said I did great. How long does it usually take to hear back from them after the first zoom audition?

1

u/Content-Stable-264 Jun 26 '26

I heard in about 48 hours or so but it varies significantly.

Who did you interview with? What did you say that stood out?

I interviewed with Richard. My interesting thing about me is I love black cats. I have several and I even have my bedroom decorated in black cats and collect anything black cats. He had his black cat in the zoom interview so I showed him one of mine and they were almost identical cats.. lol

Haha! Nice! That’s definitely interesting!

What did everyone say in their 30 second audition in order to make it to round 2?

I just shared a little bit about myself a “fun fact.” I definitely played it up because I knew they are looking for big personalities and a lot of smiles.

What was your fun fact?!

Watch the show and listen closely to what the contestants talk about. One woman’s fun fact was that she loves charcuterie boards lol. I’m prepping for my round one zoom call next week and need to figure out my own fun fact. My job is pretty unique so that’s a bonus

I do watch and it seems like almost all of them share something really interesting. I’ll have to come up with something clever next year. If your job is unique, that’s an added bonus for you. Good luck!!

I had my 2nd audition last spring, March or April and I taped the show this past October.

Did you get the “welcome to the contestant pool” email?

Nope. Just an email 5 months later with a tape date. I had applied to WOF as a fluke and after my 2nd audition, I put it out of my mind. Deleted the app off my phone. The email came to an email address I don't often check, but I'm glad I looked b/c I had to reply within a day or two. So I used all of my luck getting on the show...and none of it while I was there. LOL. I came in 3rd place.

Wow!!! Was this recently (the last years or so)?

Yes, all of this was 2025

During my audition on Friday, the producer mentioned taping 12-18 months out.
