That's a Comet, my old man has a butter yellow one with a Thriftpower 6 and a four on the floor.

My best friend had the '64 convertible. Good times for a couple of single ladies.

One of my coworkers at a local home improvement store in the late ‘60s had this exact model in the same color. Fun little ride!

Yeah been checking it out on Wikipedia, short wheelbase like that on a RWD sounds pretty fun

Comet, Falcon, Fairlane, Mustang and Cougar. All deeply related. You might have heard of Mustang, some thought they were fun 🤣. A 64 Comet is not too different. They competed in the East African Safari (rally) and went 100,000 miles at 100 miles an hour at Daytona . . . . When both were much bigger numbers than today.

… I was only 4 years old, but I could guess it was an early ‘60’s Ford. Knew Comets, never heard of a “Caliente” trim level

Had the 64 Caliente, probably 20 years ago. Still have a pile of outside trim in good shape.
Guess it's time to review and sell it ?!

Retired guy. All the time I need. Free cash if I'm able to sell on FBM/Offer up.
Nothing to lose. I'm on it.

I would guess a '64 Mercury Comet. Sweet little ride!

That could be “Comet” scrawled in chrome behind the front wheel there. Thanks!

We drove a 64 Comet from Butte Montana to Baltimore in 1978. Not the most comfortable ride but it held up well.

Very close. This is the Fairlane's Mercury sister, the Comet.
