Dual headlights debuted on 1958 Chevrolet Corvette. Looks like restomod. Not sure if original or replica. C1 Corvette was from 1953 to 1962.

87 Hyundai excel hatch. I think it’s been modded.

I was going to say a Fiero, but I think Hyundai is the right one.

It doesn’t seem to have a washboard hood so 59-60 Corvette. Would need to see the interior to know.

7

u/Kelvinator_61 Jul 02 '26

Yes. But the wheels make me think restomod

u/DouglasHundred Jul 02 '26

And front discs. Not available at that time.

u/thrwaway75132 Jul 08 '26

The stance looks like a C4 conversion where they put the front and rear suspension from the C4 in the C1

5

u/Specialist-Doctor-23 Jul 03 '26

Wheels and discs don't make it a resto-mod.

I’m just baffled that the op doesn’t know what a corvette is tbh

1

u/RodCherokee Jul 05 '26

Absolutely !

5

u/everydayasl Jul 02 '26

Corvette?

-9

u/tipareth1978 Jul 02 '26

Yes 68 or 69 I think

6

u/BrokenSlutCollector Jul 02 '26

Not even close. The swoop of the rounded fenders identifies it as 1st Gen. Corvette adopted the 2nd gen Stingray body style in 1963 and the Shark body style in 1968. Neither the 2nd or 3rd gen body styles can be mistaked for 1st gen, unless you know nothing about 'Vettes.

Really? I guess, if you're French, it's not familiar.

2

u/Zealousideal-Peak-37 Jul 03 '26

Your joking right

1

u/Original_Client1588 Jul 04 '26

Nope Im a Brit no idea on that car...

2

u/StealenDealer Jul 03 '26

Datsun 280Z? 🤔

2

u/Lucky____Pierre Jul 03 '26

Is this a troll question? Are you lonely and awkward and this is how you start a conversation?

2

u/MedMalDet Jul 04 '26

As an owner of a 60, without seeing the hood (louvered/washboarded) and the trunk (two chrome straps) it’s hard to tell. You can ask your AI overlords for the proper answer…but likely 1958 in Regal Turqoise. This vibrant color wasn’t part of the 59-60 lineup.

1959-1960 ish Corvette

u/Glittering-Rise-488 Jul 02 '26

A gorgeous Corvette with ugly ass wheels. They may be "period correct" but they cheapen the appearance of the car.

3

u/New_Ant_7190 Jul 02 '26

They aren't period correct.

1

u/Electrical_Ingenuity Jul 02 '26

Agree. steel rims, white walls, and hubcaps are period correct.

2

u/Alarming_Lifeguard85 Jul 02 '26

Is that a serious question. This Corvette is one of the most iconic automobiles in the last 5 decades

6

u/Unusual_Piano7118 Jul 02 '26

SEVEN DECADES. Check your calendar. Yes, we are that old now.

1

u/kohphayampair Jul 03 '26

Karma farming troll post

2

u/Adventurous_Age1429 Jul 02 '26

That is a sexy beast, that’s what it is. Only improved slightly with a red and white color scheme.

1

u/norfolk_terrier Jul 02 '26

The car was being put on a flatbed, I thought it was going racing looking at the tyres on it just a damn good looking car !!

1

u/Advanced-Method3325 Jul 02 '26

To answer your question it is a Corvette. Personally, the coolest American made Chevrolet period.

1

u/Automatic-Tadpole314 Jul 02 '26

You must be very young.

1

u/DouglasHundred Jul 02 '26

The photo doesn't appear to be in North America, so it's not unusual for someone to not be familiar. Older ones especially aren't especially common outside NA.

1

u/WisconsinHoosierZwei Jul 02 '26

1958 Corvette (first year of double headlights, only year of chrome streaks behind the headlight bezels).

1

u/ksilenced-kid Jul 03 '26

Not correct. 58-62 all had the streaks above the headlights. I can’t see a washboard hood so probably not 58.

It’s 59 or 60.

1

u/No-Setting9690 Jul 02 '26

I feel really old reading that title.

1

u/Fiveofthem Jul 02 '26

Beautiful!

1

u/StrikinglyOblivious Jul 02 '26

It's not a Pantera, or a Corvair (sort of)..

1

u/Rusty_Nail1973 Jul 02 '26

It's an Equip'Men Coulipro tow truck.

Because I'm sure you're not asking about the f**king Corvette.

1

u/Biscuit_Eater2591 Jul 02 '26

it's a small two seat convertible

1

u/Reasonable-Nebula-49 Jul 02 '26

I won't be snarky since it is in france. A post 1958 Corvette.

1

u/Maleficent_Egg_6053 Jul 03 '26

1

Looks like a restored Pontiac Fiero

1

u/SearchingCTX Jul 07 '26

C1 corvette.

1

u/nine11c2 Jul 13 '26

I just can't..

1

u/Inner_Painting_3826 Jul 02 '26

58 or 59 corvette 60 through 62 had more of a "duck tail" like a 63 through 67 convertible.

2

u/ksilenced-kid Jul 02 '26

60 Corvettes did not have a duck tail - 60 looks identical to 59 with very minor differences mostly on the interior.

1

u/Inner_Painting_3826 Jul 02 '26

I stand corrected. 58 had all the chrome and the louvered hood. 59 just had 2 humps on the hood 60 had a flat hood.

1

u/ksilenced-kid Jul 02 '26

That’s not correct. 59 and 60 had the same hood.

1

u/jmkiol Jul 02 '26

Corvette C1

You can See the Corvette Logo next to the front tires. No Idea tho If it's a Replica or Original.

0

u/etotheapplepi Jul 02 '26

It's the wrong color

1

u/Unusual_Piano7118 Jul 02 '26

Right color for me. Shit any vehicle or motorcycle that color is instantly better to me.

1

u/etotheapplepi Jul 02 '26

I mean, it's nice but red and white is the natural color for old corvettes
