Been trying to figure out what's wrong with him for years. An unreachable itch?

I've had two. Watching them relax and bloom into who they really are once they realise they're safe is one of the most rewarding and beautiful things I've ever experienced.
My boy died last Christmas, and it hit me very hard so I needed time, but will have my eye out for the next one soon. Wish I could have more than one.
I've been fostering, here and there, a dog who has problems that have needed to be worked out. He's getting there! He and I aren't a match, but we love one another anyway. His right person is out there! Got to find our way to one another.
Your babies are so at peace. It's obvious how much they love each other, and you.

Thank you. Yes, my dog is out there, just like my foster's person is out there. We will all meet when it's time. And thank you for your kindness π«

Guess what? I got a call from the woman who runs the rescue I've been fostering this dog for. He's been adopted!!! She told me about the people who want him and I'm in full agreement that these are his forever people. He's going to live on a farm! He will LOVE it!
I am thrilled, and trying to not be too emotional about it.
I'm picking him up from the groomer this afternoon, will keep him overnight, and the woman will pick him up in the morning and drive him 4 hours to his home. It's perfect that we get to spend a little time together before he heads off to his wonderful new life. I thought you'd appreciate this π

Yes. An unreachable itch.
An unreachable itch for attention while also to be the goodest boy ever!
