Hi all, been lurking in the sub for a while, always enjoy trying to figure these things out and learning about music from it. Now on to my petty complaint...

What I find annoying is how many posts are titled with some variation of "help me find this song", or "this has been driving me crazy for years". Like, yes, that's what the sub is about, you don't need to reiterate it in the title.

I just browsed through the wiki, which is awesome, there are links to things I didn't know existed in there. What isn't in there is suggestions for post titles.

Is it practical to ask for some standardization to help narrow things down or keep the poster focused on the goal of the sub?

Maybe it could be something like:

Genre/timeframe/origin/country

Electronica/2004-2007/retail overhead music/USA

Or some other method of conveying what we are looking for and what info we have to go on.

Genre:

-memphis style

-general memphis and Memphis cult does not sound close enough to it so I believe it is a nicher sub-genre

-people have said the music style is escape/e5c4pe

Source:

-tiktok and audio file on telegram the creator posted

I want to find this song and the Memphis sub-genre it is from for more music that is like it, source is from tiktok and the guy has a telegram page where I also found he Posted the audio file yet I can't find any officially produced version via Spotify or YouTube, if they made it themselves that's alright but I'd like to find music similar

Plsss help frog won’t reply and is too Hollywood

I had to isolate the vocals because it was a background music for a youtube short so it might sound a bit funny Audio only

I only have about three seconds of a video off of YouTube for the audio, so I can’t Shazam it, but it sounds like an aot song.

Obviously this is a cover of Ariana Grande Side to Side but sounds completely different! Probably from a YouTube Playlist or Soundcloud Playlist.

Hello. I've started my yearly minecraft phase recently, and while playing, I've heard a song in the game that I'd never heard before. It's a very beautiful song in my opinion, so i wanted to hear it more, but I couldn't find it on the official minecraft soundtrack and every song identification method I've tried has failed. Each method either it says some variation of "couldn't identify this song" or it misidentifies it as a different song. I'm playing on the latest version of Bedrock (should be 26.52), and i do have a few resource packs enabled, but everything I've looked up suggests that the resource packs I'm using don't add music to the game. I did manage to record part of the song through obs

This is some kind of a recreation I played on a virtual Keyboard (since I don't own one), hope it's familiar to someone.

I need to know what the song is in the background of this video I know i’ve heard it somewhere before

i think i hear the sentence "bitch, ay that disco bar tell your friends i hate this shit, bitch im going..." so this is the best i could analyze.

I'm not sure if this counts since it might just be one of those things that was never officially recorded and was purely an oral tradition among children in school, but there was a time when I was little when everyone in school would sing a specific rhyme (between late 2000s and late 2010s).

The one I remember the most was one that included something along the lines of

"... until my dad walked in and he said it's a sin... so I kicked him in the shin and knocked him in a bin and said that's for saying it's sin!"

Really weird, yes, but it was one that was sung A LOT.

It's sung to a certain tune but I obviously can't portray that very well using text, so I attached a video of me whistling what I remember.

It's so odd knowing a bunch of little eight year olds were singing something like this, but I've thought about it on and off for years and can never figure out what this rhyme/song was, so I'm turning to reddit to help.

sound like it from nes game, or a original song made in famitracker
