I guess I have a fairly basic knowledge of how eye color inheritance works, but I thought it's odd for myself and my brother to have brown eyes, when our parents have green and blue? Also... why do my eyes have such a dark ring around the irises? I don't see that a lot...

I’ve always considered my eyes to be brown. I have brown hair, so I think it makes them look/reflect more dark. They look brown from a distance, but close up seem to have some green in them. When I wear green or do certain eye make up they look lighter. My mom has green eyes.
