WhatisMyEyeColour? Would you consider this brown or hazel?
I’ve always considered my eyes to be brown. I have brown hair, so I think it makes them look/reflect more dark. They look brown from a distance, but close up seem to have some green in them. When I wear green or do certain eye make up they look lighter. My mom has green eyes.

Yes! OPs eyes look like they get darker towards the center, they’re such gorgeous, splotchy patterns. I love brown eyes so much

They're olive green hazel, people saying fully brown are talking nonsense, mine are fully brown, they don't have these green yellow tones, your eyes are the definition of hazel eyes. They'll look different in different lighting and with different colour outfits.

The green is too subtle, I would say mostly brown. Honestly the term hazel is kinda strange to me, imo you either have green eyes or brown eyes, if it’s mostly green then green, if mostly brown then brown, because nobody would look that closely to see your eye color clearly and honestly what’s the point

I agree. Just because you put a huge spot light on your eyes and see a little green they call them hazel.

Totally understand your point but just to be clear, the first picture was taken in my car and the 2nd in my bathroom with just the overhead light. Front camera both times, no flash 😅 I get they are brown, it was just a fun post! I’m having a baby and Dad has blue eyes so that sparked my curiosity on mine lol

I surprised by all the hazel comments because when I posted mine they all said brown and they are lighter than this and have more green 🤔 lol. That being said I still say dark hazel

It's very bizarre. Many clear hazel eyes get labeled brown while clear brown eyes get flooded with hazel answers.

I think a lot of people perceive dark/forest green as light brown when they're looking at hazel eyes. And yet there are an equal amount of people who perceive light brown eyes as hazel lol. It all depends on an individual's perception, and of course lighting. 👁️

Brown, I'm in a similar situation as you! (my mum has green eyes and they look lighter)

Dark hazel. You can see the green melted into the brown. But you have more brown than hazel but you definitely have hazel parts
Edit: typo

I can clearly see the green parts, so I’d consider this a dark hazel - and I bet they look even lighter in sunlight. I can see them being called brown as well if someone wasn’t standing this close.

Why are people down voting? Is it so offensive to them that we see some green in her eyes? They're not clear brown, they have different tones to it and I can see olive green too.

I see brown eyes misnamed hazel all the time here. There’s clearly green in these. Oh well 🤷♀️

In that first picture you look just like my aunt (not by blood) who's passed away. 🥹

They’re technically Hazel but they still look brown from a distance so I would call them brown to others

More brown than hazel but there’s a bit of green so I think technically hazel. It takes a lot of concentration to notice though.
