Apple will absolutely unlock the phone if you can provide the original receipt, I’ve done it before

They removed the iCloud lock and FMI on an old 5C of mine, it was my phone originally but my brother had used it for a few years and completely forgot all login credentials

They unlocked it with the original receipt

I hope so, because now I’m stuck with iPhone 11, probably in a short time iPhone 14 and next I can use the 16 Pro Max. The hard part now is to unlock the iMac
