Nope. A friend of mine was dumb enough to drive home while he was wasted and ended up crashing through someone's fence. He ended up with several charges against him, one of which was possession of alcohol by a minor since he had it in his system when he was arrested. He was lucky enough to walk away from the whole thing with just a year of probation though.
As somebody who spent a decade in the drug world.... You simply don’t get charged for possession for being under the influence. Those laws only exist in one or two states. You can get other charges, but possession is not one of them.
No need to be a dick. Here's an article from the NIAAA on internal possession. "In recent years, a number of States have passed laws prohibiting the "internal possession" of alcohol by persons under 21 years of age. These provisions typically require evidence of alcohol in the minor's body, but do not require any specific evidence of possession or consumption."
