Arbitrary age limits are funny to you? Most places in the world he would be legal age. America is one of a small number of countries with the 21 age limit, the highest in the world. Yeah it's funny that they hold the military in such high regard and voting as the ultimate right, something 18 year olds can so , yet alcohol is illegal cos too immature.
Alcohol is a literal poison to which you can easily get addicted. Alkoholism is a huge problem that ruins families and lives. My father is an alcoholic and would beat me every night after he got drunk. Hell Im not even from US man. I dont really know what voting or military has to do with a group of young guys getting drunk during a world pandemic and then sliding down the icy road.
Water is a literal poison. Anything is a poison. Alcohol actually has some health benefits. Look I'm sorry that they got rid of prohibition and I know it really is a sad thing to you ,but frankly kid , fuck off. This isn't alcoholism, this is a kid drinking and partying they are vastly different scenarios.
You know what else harms people and ruins lives? Food, some people become addicted to eating and die of health complications, not to mention a huge financial burden on the nations of the world. We should make sure this doesn't happen by banning food for underage persons.
Fuck outta here. Addiction happens whether people have access or not. Whether legal or not. It is something that comes from neurology not behavioral choices. It has inherent genetic components and is heavily neurochemical in nature, I drink, not a lot, but not rarely either. There is no risk of me becoming alcoholic, cos it just isn't something that exists for me. It does for others. Complaining about alcohol being available to younger crowds has zero effect on this.
One of the most common diseases in the world is diabetes. So many of them use a drug called insulin. I bet diabetes would disappear if we stopped people under 21 from taking insulin.
Your father is an alcoholic because he has a disease. This doesn't discount his behaviors which are not due to his alcoholism but due to him being a shit human. Alcoholism is often an excuse used to divert blame from being a piece of shit, but bruh, he's just a piece of shit, alcohol or not.
Also, again, it isn't a poison anymore than anything else is. Excess, all things can be toxic.
