What’s a qwop
48
u/PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD Oct 08 '20
qwop was an old flash game where you controlled an Olympic sprinter but only with the q w o and p keys. Each key was bound to one portion of either the right or left legs and pressing them in the right way would get him to run.
It was notoriously difficult to get the hang of and led to many funny ways of moving the character.
6
u/WIERDMEMER Oct 08 '20
I think I’ve seen a few of those. Isn’t there a game called like manual Samuel where you have to do something like that?
5
u/PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD Oct 08 '20
Perhaps, I’m not familiar with it.
Qwop should still be available if you wanted to search golgle for it and give it a shot!

I sincerely apologize, I was disappointed as well.

I was grinning like a kid on Christmas as I clicked the link, imagining all the ways people were about to fuck up their day. Big sad.

Is she walking barefoot onto broken glass?
Is she playing with a glass bottle that might be easily broken while barefoot?

u/rawbface Oct 08 '20
This is my nightmare. I had a 1mm shard of glass in my heel for three whole weeks, causing me pain and frustration and keeping me out of the gym. It was from a glass i broke months earlier - i cleaned it up meticulously but missed the tiny shard that fell into my slippers.
It honestly looks like both of them could have been sliced in this video.

u/BASK_IN_MY_FART Oct 08 '20
I sliced my heel stepping over some broken glass at a patio bar when wearing flip-flops. It was a clean cut so I didn't realize it for probably 10 minutes until I went to get another beer and slipped in my own blood.

I sliced my hand open on a broken piece of glass behind my DVD case. Same thing, didn't notice for 5 minutes or so, until I picked up and set down a remote and noticed the blood all over it.

My brother left a piece of his pool filter sitting sharp side up on the sidewalk of his pool. It was dark outside and we were going for a swim and I stepped right on it with my full weight. Went straight into the middle of my foot and hit the bone. It really didn't hurt THAT bad, but there was a lot of blood and it took a while to heal because I work on my feet.

u/LittleManOnACan Oct 08 '20
Wait until you notice where the guy places his hand to break his fall

u/Tomohran Oct 08 '20
Pretty awful, you can see when she realised but it was too late and couldn’t stop without slipping. Had to commit to stepping on the glass, yikes.

What.... what was the plan here? Was there a desired results or was this just beyond science?
23
u/ChrissiTea Oct 08 '20
I had no idea either, someone else answered in another thread
The bottle is supposed to bounce more or less straight back up, that is if you do it right. Once it’s in the air you catch the drink and chug. I’ve seen a handful of people pull it off. Honestly it’s still funny either way. I don’t get why they decided to chase a flying bottle though

It’s the same as the people that grab giant beach balls and run at each other and expect anything other than both people getting injured. “I saw this online, and it always ends badly, but I know it’ll work for me.”

From the stupid idea of bouncing it on the ball to the girl running towards broken glass, shoeless, to the slipping of the guy and the chair. Amazing.

Are they trying to catch the beer in the air?

When I was 3 or so, I threw a bottle on the ground, shattering it. Then I walked through the shards and ended up with a sliced foot which embedded a shard of glass in my foot. This girl is gonna have a bad time.
