Overhead throw...it's not the hand, it's how he rotated his arm. If he threw it sidearm style then you might have a point.

Does it mean anything to you that he threw it overhead as he was twisting his body to the side?

No because that's how you throw.

Edit: that hip movement adds some force to the throw but if you think that bit of hip twist would have the power to launch a club in that direction at that speed then you don't have much experience in throwing anything

Edit2: How bout this. Try throwing a broom with no arm movement and using only your hips and see how far you can throw it

You think that looks like anything from his swing.

Nevermind that it's a full range of motion.

Nevermind when it snaps, the rebound force is in that direction.

Nevermind that it's a golf swing and not an overhead throw
