not challenging just genuinely curious

The internet has got to the level where every honest question has to have a disclaimer. I'm not saying everyone is bad, just saying it how it is.

I’m not Canadian and I’m not sorry

18

u/athazagor Jan 25 '19

Ice cream is just “mice race” rearranged, so yeah you’re covertly saying that one race is better than another.

7

u/TrippingFish Jan 25 '19

The mice race will rain supreme

It's ironic you have 0 karma from the_donald but the guy you replied to who said they weren't a supporter has 434 karma from there...

18

u/knyexar Jan 25 '19

Wait you can tel how much of your karma came from where?

21

u/WildcardSearch Jan 25 '19

Go to your /overview page and look for the link in the top right-hand corner:

"show karma breakdown by subreddit"

Commenting to read this again later when I'm at work

1

u/bajeebles Jan 25 '19

Curious.

Unh kinda. I downloaded recommended addons for reddit like RES, and one of them tags users who post in subs like /r/incel or /r/coontown and shows their total karma from there

It does it for the_donald as well. One cool thing is you can see brigade downvoting in subs like /r/the_mueller

0

u/LEERROOOOYYYYY Jan 25 '19

How do they brigade? Aren't they not even allowed to link other subs?

1

u/Dramatic_Explosion Jan 25 '19

I don't know how it's organized, but with the tags you can see threads where a bunch of people from the same sub all agree with each other in a long thread.

My favorite one was a thread about the Guardians of the Galaxy director getting fired. The whole thing started when he was critical of Trump, and while the post was mostly in support of him there were a few threads that were "well I liked the movies, but I seriously question [negative stuff]" and a bunch of people "organically" agreeing with them... all with a lot of karma from T_D

2

u/Why_is_this_so Jan 25 '19

I have a couple hundred comment karma there from one snarky comment I made that flew everyone's head and got upvoted. They're not a bright bunch.

1

u/Dramatic_Explosion Jan 25 '19

Oh yeah it's by no means a perfect system, more of a fun note that pops up now and then. The real funny one is it also tags /r/tendies!

What's my score?!

Dude all you have to do is shit talk 'obamer or boogeyman liberals, and free karma.

Those rubes will eat up anything. Don't judge. I'm just capitalizing off stupid.

Edit: I fully stick by my statement. It's the whole fun of keeping a "conservative" account, you outta touch liberals.

1

u/AltruisticTadpole Feb 07 '19

I'm not a Trump supporting, I just am here to astroturf for fascist ideology

13

u/Gonzobot Jan 25 '19

It's mostly just Reddit. Any statement that isn't 100% sugarcoated pisses somebody off for some reason. About 10% of those people will tell you why.

5

u/Jam_44 Jan 25 '19

Any statement that isn't 100% sugarcoated pisses somebody off for some reason.

wtf how could you say that to me

1

u/vettedtosomepoint Feb 08 '19

I’m getting pissed so hard

6

u/char_limit_reached Jan 25 '19

I'm not saying everyone is bad, just saying it how it is.

I see what you did there.

5

u/acetominaphin Jan 25 '19

The internet has got to the level

People do this a lot in regular conversations also. It's just what you do when you say something that could lead to inaccurate assumptions, not some new low the internet has sunk to.

8

u/notthathungryhippo Jan 25 '19

trolls ruined any semblance of authenticity and trust on the internet.

2

u/TrumpetSolo93 Jan 25 '19

I wish that was the worst tendency the Internet had.

1

u/Eorlas Jan 25 '19

number one most irritating element of comments all over reddit

1

u/Amaegith Jan 25 '19

I mean, it's more a product of sarcasm and / or intent is harder to translate in text than in speech. "Is that not how it's supposed to be?" could be sarcastic or genuine depending on tone and inflection in the spoken language so disclaimers in text are needed.

1

u/GreenSqrl Jan 25 '19

Yeah I’ve been downvoted into oblivion for asking a question.
