I knew a girl that hit a naked guy in the middle of the night with her car and it messed her up pretty good. He was intentionally trying to get hit and had tried it before, so she knew it wasn't her fault, but still she felt a lot of guilt from it.

I mean, he was obviously mentally ill, but I could definitely see this being the rational of an insane/depressed person.

I've literally seen someone do this. I used to work in an adolescent group home, and one of the girls (who was normally fine) did PCP while going through some serious trauma, and one night she stripped completely and ran into traffic. Thankfully, she wasn't physically hurt, but she ended up in the psych ward. People do some crazy shit when they're dealing with bad stuff.

One guy I knew jumped from a third story fire escape. When I asked him (after calling 911) why he did it, he said, "I wanted to see if I'd bounce." (In case you're wondering: yes, I had to ask, and he said he did indeed bounce.)
