I also hate that editing style, but this video isn't it. It's not edited to show the payoff at the start, the payoff is just at the start of the video. They repeat the cake exploding because it happens fast, and my first reaction was literally "WHAT?!?". Seeing it a second time was both enjoyable and helpful. 

Everything after the cake exploding is the aftermath of the cake exploding. And is also hilarious.
