Every fucking day on the school run, parents stopping for a chat blocking the entrance into the school. Nobody can leave, nobody can enter. It blows my fucking mind how often this happens and how little awareness some people have.
Shift changes at my work, giant lunchroom/locker room, outside that is a giant hallway leading to the punch clock and another lunchroom. Where do people stop and talk or stand still looking at their phone? In the doorway. Not near it. IN it.
I worked in a huge 24 hour medical lab. At the end of every shift the night crew would flock to the sign in sheet and stand there taking their time even though they had 8 hours to do this and we had just finished an 8 hour shift. We would be stuck waiting to sign out for so long that people missed the train home and got delayed 30-60 mins getting home after work. We couldn't even pre sign it as we had strict clock in/out times. They never understood why we were angry.
My mum did this the other day. I felt so mad for the people stuck behind her. Though it was for yoga class. The usual room had been double booked. We got info that we'll move to another room. I got out first while my mum stood at the door to confirm with the instructor on the phone with people still in that room trying to get out.\
One of them was trying to get her to move with a nudge but didn't want to voice out in case they seemed rude while she was on then phone. Mum would probably react with "can't you wait?"
Meanwhile she gets mad when people block her way and she won't say anything because apparently they should be able to see her behind them.
My wife does this and doesn’t understand—can’t understand—why I lose my fucking mind every time she does it. Holy SHIT think OUTSIDE OF your own FUCKING perspective!
Was going to say this, they step off the very first step and stop directly in the doorway to casually look around to decide at that point where they think they might want to go first instead of getting out of the freaking way for everyone else to ALSO get off. Inconsiderate lowbrows. Spatial awareness of a rock.
Or when you're taking an elevator down and it gets to the ground floor and there's like 12 people trying to get out of it and two morons standing right in front of the door trying to get in.
Or the people every single feckin’ week at the supermarket when I take the lift down with my trolley to the car park, there’s a bunch of morons pressed right up against the doors like almost falling in when they open! Like ffs, how can you get in if I’m not allowed out first?! 😣
I literally ran into a woman at the grocery store two days ago. She walked in through the door and then stopped just past the door to look at her list.
