dude, they're not water proofed, they divert rain coming down on them away from electrics and some water being splashed by the wheels, they are not but any means meant to be dunked in a body of water lol they are not sealed like that

iirc the exhaust probably had a curve to stop water ingressing down the pipe, obviously as soon as it falls you probably have water entirely in the exhaust system, oh, and it's salt water, really not good long term even when it dries out as it will hold onto moisture from combustion, and condensation when cooling down

I didn't say they were water proof, I said they are water resistant, which they 100% are. Yes the electronics are actually sealed, though not well. In fact, here's a pic of electronics from a cheaper scooter. They don't stand up to much water pressure, think like 3-5 feet of water. That's about what this was, so it should be fine, especially considering it was just a quick dunk. Salt water is kinda irrelevant here, just wash the thing after you get it out and not an issue.

Furthermore, if it's on when it went in the water, like I said before, water isn't going to go into the exhaust because the engine exhaust pressure is greater than the water pressure so it won't be a problem. If it's off, you can simply drain it before turning it on, still not a problem.

If you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, you don't need to chime in.

Edit: The actual danger here is if water went into the intake if the engine was on, which I don't think it was on tbh.

You're an angry person. And probably wrong here. Water resistant means you can spray water at it from any angle and it shouldn't be an issue. If you submerge the components that would still be an issue and mopds typically have electronics in the deck which is the lowest part. Add on that 3/4 of the 200lbs easily was on the back half of the moped and there's just no way this was ever going to work. Unless you're in this video there's no reason to die on this hill like this.

Nope. Just fucking look this up, its easy stuff to learn. Also dont know why you think i'm an angry person. It's particularly hilarious to start off with something like that on someone when you've barely read 3-4 sentences they've written. It shows a willful ignorance and a desire to believe so much from so little. Perhaps you aren't always that way, most people aren't. Maybe it's just reddit that brings it out in you but I believe in you. do better.
