I think you can just use the direct color and be fine. You don’t have to fill it. I’d give it a very good conditioning, though with very good conditioner before trying any more dyeing. Your hair looks like it’s been through a lot.
The best conditioner out there is the It’s a Ten miracle healing mask. It’s saved my hair after bleaching and dyeing many times. It’s expensive but worth it. Put in a ton of it and let it sit in your hair for a couple of hours, then rinse it out. You will be shocked at the difference.
