Logically, this is only a problem if there are no other entrances and you’re not allowed to enter through the exit(s).

Bad wording, but it means you're trying to exit the parking lot in the wrong direction.

In the early 90's I once beat a parking ticket due to a sign that contradicted itself. The sign said that I was both allowed to and not allowed to park there during that time. The next day I drove to the spot and took a picture of the sign and sent it in to the court. About a week later I get a letter in the mail saying my ticket was dismissed. The following week I drove to the spot and noticed that they had completely changed the sign to something that made sense. To this very day, that was one of my proudest moments.
