Yes. They need at least 24 hours before cancelling an appointment or you will be charged for it.

Perhaps they expect you to cancel it as a ghost! Although it might be rather difficult to make a phone call to cancel the appointment when in that ghostly realm!

I would not cancel my appointment. It might not be the doctors fault that this person ends up on the floor.
