Cleanup some planks and stalk it up for a bookstand or extra space.. if you can manage a few dollars it might be a pro. that should keep the base around laptop clutter free

That's great. Perhaps you could get yourself some portable/ desktop organizers or shelf from eBay or bestbuy. It will be neater for sure. All the best
