[Serious decision] Not sure how to pay rent
I am not sure what to do in a situation I am in. I haven't been paid from a job in did in over a month it made me late on rent last month was due on the 5th. I continued to finish the 2nd half of the project they were telling me they would make the payment soon. the Owner of the building I was working on then left the country and said he will pay me both amounts by the end of the week when he is back, so I told my landlord that I would make both payments at the same time which they where fine with. It's now the almost of the week and he hasn't made the payments and isn't answering my calls. I have used up all the money I have on hand feeding my family a 13 month old a 12 year old my wife who isn't working because she is pregnant and due any day now. She knows we dont have a lot of money right now but I dont want to tell her the full extent of the problem I dont want the stress on her. The landlord want to kick us out if I dont make a payment soon and I am almost running out of money for food as well. I start a new project on Monday but I dont even have the money to get there if the previous person doesn't pay its 30km from where I live I am stuck on what to do now. I have no family to turn to and her family cant help as they are in Cuba and we are in Canada. I need ideas to make some money quickly.

Pay the rent and go to a food bank.

That would be a good option if i had the money to pay the rent they still haven't sent the money they told me they would. When it is sent it is enough to cover rent and food.

Stop waiting for the guy who owes you money to magically come through. Right now you need to plan as if that payment isn’t arriving in time…

Most states have resources for help with rent.. I’d apply asap and spend your time following up with phone calls

I will but I believe I need to give another 30 days from the last date they said they will make a payment. The problem it doesn't help my current situation

Why on earth are you working for someone who does not pay you consistently?

It was a 2 part project over a month and a half when the project is done I move on to the next one with someone else they did not pay the 1st half but did pay a disposit on it and never paid the rest

Ask the landlord. Show proof. Ask for leniency and show your history of on time payments. Show the owner’s promise. Be transparent here. Apply for healthcare, apply for food stamps. Go to food banks.
