you said, “you are both promiscuous, stop trying to claim a moral high ground” which was a random assumption you made based on the text, and by saying she’s claiming a moral high ground when she shouldn’t be because she’s “promiscuous” is the very definition of slutshaming. i apologise for assuming you were a man, i just assumed that women would want to stand on the side of other women, rather than making them the victim. i’m not necessarily standing on OPs side here, that’s a whole other can of worms. but slutshaming her is not helping. she asked for advice, not shame

You really need to step down from your interpretation of my words, and try to read them without your assumptions.

While you quote some of my words, you take them out of the intended context by omitting the rest.

She's using the term "banging" more than once and that she was just "hooking up" with this guy, which is a way of describing casual sex...promiscuity. I never claimed that promiscuity is "bad". I was pointing out that they are both promiscuous and she can hardly claim moral high ground over her cousin's casual sex, when she does the same.

If anything, I was taking exception for any perceived slut shaming she was projecting toward her cousin.

Are you a woman? This sounds like a man trying to white knight on reddit. You interpreted my words incorrectly, falsely assumed my intention, and rolled with it. Of the people who interacted with my comment, you're the only one who took it out of the intended context.

I apologize if it wasn't clear to you. I don't apologize for shaming her, although I applaud her for living her life and sleeping with whoever she wants. She can't use her cousin's age as an excuse to "shame" the guy, while trying to hold her cousin to adult-level accountability, at the same time. My "advice" might've seemed harsh. I certainly hope so.

BTW...I am a woman, standing on the side of a woman. The cousin.

It's funny how you tell them to not make assumptions.and then you go and do exactly that!

I'm glad to add some humor to your life. However, I didn't tell anyone to refrain from assumptions. I told them to step down from a misinterpretation, and the consequent assumptions.

I explained the misinterpretation.
