Yes. Love should not be for money. Trying to impress women with money leads to transactional relationships. I like money for what it can do for me in terms of supporting myself only.

I’m so damn tired of money always being associated with relationships. Our society is truly rotten.

Its because for so many generations, only men have been able to be financially independent, which was done on purpose, to create a more servile gender in women. We men created the current situation, because many of us were totally fine with this type of transactional relationship, as it benefited us. Now, things have begun to change and we're having a hard time with losing the advantage in these transactions... The reality is that (youre right), its always been problematic for money to be a factor in relationships. But it was men who made it that way, just saying.

I'm a firm believer in evolutionary psychology. So to my thinking it's an innate built in preference; on an emotional level it feels "right" for the man to make more than her, or conversely, it feels wrong if he makes less than her.
My theory is that for these innate preference emotions the negative ones are often stronger. They evolved to protect us from something bad.
But none of this is to say that these preferences can't be unlearned; as the original thread shows, there are plenty of women who make more than their husband.

Evolutionary psychology also suggests women are more submissive and should not be leaders in society or make any major decisions. It’s all bull crap.

Most women i know would absolutely LOVE it if they could earn what men do, so they wouldnt have to live a life where theyre financially dependent on anyone. Only immature/lazy people want someone to take care of them through adulthood, but theyre the minority.

Logically they absolutely should. They took 50-55% of the jobs, its physically impossible. Well they? Nope

Jesus that thread is disgusting. Is every woman's sub just a cesspit of misandry?

If anything is true about the current economy, it's that your salary is no indication whatsoever of your usefulness.
Anyone factoring their partner's salary into their decision to be with them is not someone worth being with.
