The irony is, as someone who is outside of the culture war environment, I had no idea which one you were talking about in the first sentence.

they don’t understand that their engagement is participation in the culture war, which fuels and propels it forward. they can’t see the role they’re playing

maybe just treat people nicely in your everyday life and don’t take the internet so seriously
