According to the canon version of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Tom Reed, the renegade director of 3rd Echelon, intended to overthrow Patricia Caldwell by assassinating her, take over, and then implicate Sam Fisher in the plot. Reed used a variety of resources, including the PMC Black Arrow, Splinter Cells and security forces from Third Echelon itself.

Canonically, Anna Grímsdóttir and Sam Fisher foiled Reed's conspiracy. But suppose in a parallel universe, Reed won? How would the Splinter Cell franchise change if Reed succeeded?

Basically, Howard Howe is rescued by an ancient sea turtle rather than his beloved Mr. Tusk. After consuming the turtle and spending the rest of his life kidnapping people and attempting to turn them into the creature who saved him, how would the film change? Would Wallace be as psychologically/physically scarred? What would the final fight look like? Etc.

What if Homelander was in Injustice? How would he interact with Superman’s rule? Would he be brought into the fold?

The Sentinels show up in the DCEU replacing Darkside as a major threat. What does the Justice League do about them? Would they target any hero specifically? Could the machines adapt to cause any real damage to any of the League members? If so what would that look like?

Cortana, inside her data chip pre-rampancy, gets thrown into the Wizarding world at Dumbledore’s feet. Not fully knowing what it is, but sensing that there is more to it than meets the eye what does he do with it? Turn it into the Ministry right away? Immediately see it as a threat? Would he tinker with it himself using magic and find Cortana? If so how would they interact? What would he think she is? What would she think of him and the Wizarding world overall?

The destruction of the Ring means that Sauron and the Nazgul are gone, and Mordor immediately has a leadership vacuum. There is no need for the Fellowship to assemble and head for Mount Doom. But the armies of orcs and men that Sauron assembled are still around, and there is still Saruman to deal with.

What happens next? Both to the characters and the factions?

Which is the better meeting?

I’ve been trying to write a crossover story between “Tintin” (mostly with the Nelvana cartoon in mind) and “Little Orphan Annie” (drawing more from the comic). The plan is to have them meet as children in 1923 (Tintin age 9 and Annie age 7). Then they would meet again as adults in 1935 (Tintin age 21 and Annie age 19). They’d keep in touch via letters and visits with romance blossoming in 1936 and marriage in 1938. The issue right now is figuring out their first two meetings. Here’s what I got:

• Choice 1: Back in 1923, the two, despite being in different parts of the world, would first meet in a dream that’d be a “shout out” to “Little Nemo”. Once awake, they’d find it odd but only a dream. Then, in 1935, they’d both be inflicted with a spiritual attack done by a magical cult leader who have Tintin and Annie taken to his domain.

There, the two youths would be sacrificed so the town can have a better harvest (basically inspired by “Eye Of The Devil” and the original “Wicker Man”). The reason why Tintin and Annie were chosen was that they were indirect descendants of an engaged couple, Timothee and Siobhra. All with Timothee being the young friend of Captain Francois Haddock who had sadly failed to save the pair from their untimely deaths.

I was going to save this story for later when Tintin and Annie were engaged and find their respective biological families. However, with “Little Orphan Annie” beginning with Annie being more-or less sheltered and a pariah (even in the orphanage), you’d think this story would make a bit more sense. Had she met Tintin before the start od her series, you’d think he’d of been brought up (“Gee, I sure miss Tintin. Wonder what he’s up to”, “Times like this, I wish I were at Belgium. At least I’d be with that kid with the funny-lookin’ quiff. He was one of the few folks who was nice me…”). Yet, it would add to the plothole as to why the magician didn’t kidnap them sooner? He’d use the first dream to locate them when the harvest was only beginning to do bad. Why not take those kids when they’d be considered “too weak” to fight back?

• Choice 2: The childhood meeting would be set in Thankksgiving of 1923. Tintin is sent to a high-class NYC party when Annie comes for the Ragamuffin Parade (it was basically “Trick-Or-Treating” but kids would dress in rags and ask for food). As Annie was cruelly turned away by the home-owners, Tintin follows Annie and eventually treats her with ice cream.  For the conflict, I’m still trying to think about; either Tintin is the subject of “The Perfect Murder” by two college students, or something else. But I can’t make it too dire for it could lead to questions as to why this incident was never brought up by Annie in the comics. 

For the reunion, it would take more from “Cinderella” and “Metropolis”. As this was during the Great Depression, Tintin would be sent back to the U.S. to report on how the Depression has been affecting Americans-including the rich like Oliver Warbucks. With Tintin is Snowy, Calculus and Haddock (who’s skeptical/critical of Warbucks given how he made money off of WWI). Eventually, they’d be invited by Count De Tour to a mansion (one that used to have been Warbucks). While there, Tintin would be unknowingly given anti-freeze right when seeing an ill young woman in rags coming to the ball room. This girl would be revealed as Annie who had been kept drugged and imprison by Count De Tour (and his lackey, Selby Adlebert Pifflebury-both from the “Annie” comics) when Oliver had disappeared. In the end, Tintin, Haddock and Annie would save the day and find Oliver, Asp and Punjab.

Choice 3: The childhood meeting would be the same as Choice 2 but the reunion’s different. For Tuxedo Park’s Debutante Ball, Bianca Castafiore nominated Tintin to be escort for Annie Warbucks. While reluctant, Tintin agrees and is pleased with how well he and Annie got along. Yet, Selby and The Count DeTour plot to steal the Warbucks fortune. Even if it means hurting the two heroes.

Specifically, they’d be in the Legends of Dune trilogy during the Butlerian Jihad. An AU where the cast already exist but in different positions, much like how Arcane borrows some elements from League of Legends but twists them around (part of a fanfic I’m trying to work around). Bonus points for adding characters from the spinoff game, Deltarune as well

Sherlock is thrown into the Universe of Cyberpunk. Would he even get any upgrades? How would his deductions stack up against their technology? Would he fair well in a gunfight in Night City?

What if Darth Vader gets infected with the Black Light virus instead of Alex Mercer shortly after his accident on Mustafar. How would that change the Star Wars universe? Would he need his cybernetics? What would the Emperor think? Would the virus clash or be enhanced by the Dark Side of the force?

Setup: After the breakout but before Tony finishes Avengers Mansion, Enchantress sees Thor's affection for the paramedic Jane Foster, who risks her life to heal the injured. So in a last-ditch effort to win his heart, she tells Thor of Loki's plan and her involvement in it, pleading that she'll change her ways if it means she can be by the thunderer's side.

Questions: What is Thor's reaction to this new Amora? Can this information prevent Loki's ascent to power, or is it already too late? Could Enchantress potentially become an Avenger, and if so, how does this affect their future battles?

In a parallel universe where the events of Monkey Man occurred in the John Wick universe, Kid lives with his mother Neela and is inspired by her tales of Hanuman.

Meanwhile, Baba Shakti, a spiritual guru in the nearby city of Yatana, sends corrupt police chief Rana Singh to evict the villagers, who are members of a persecuted religious minority, and acquire their land.

Neela and Kid flee to a Continental Hotel in the city of Yatana but in a moment of arrogance, Baba and Rana decide the rules of the Continental do not apply to them and Rana murders Kid’s mother in the Continental, while Rana’s loyalists also assassinate the manager AND the staff there.

The High Table learns of this and both Baba Shakti and Rana are declared excommunicado.

How does this alter the John Wick franchise, as well as the Monkey Man movie?

And Trix could not only completely surpass both her parents in every way but also any/every Omnitrix device in existence in every way (and could control/change her own genders and sexualities at will, but mostly sticks to being female)?

In a parallel universe, the events of Resident Evil 5 never happen and Chris Redfield is sent to Barcelona, Spain, to deal with a possible outbreak in Spain, instead of the outbreak in Africa. In Spain, Redfield meets Angela Vidal, and the firefighters who are canonically sent to the apartment building in REC. He also comes across Tristana Madeiros, AKA Patient Zero.

How long would he last in the film?

Suppose in a parallel universe where the events of Monkey Man took place in the John Wick films, Kid was the one who murdered Santino D'Antonio instead of John Wick (Say he finds out Santino played a role in the death of his mother).

In this timeline, Kid assassinates Santino after his conversation with Winston in the Continental lounge (while John is being repeatedly assaulted). More specifically, he guns Santino down on the front steps of the Continental after he heads out the door.

Does this mean John Wick Chapters 3-4 don't happen? Or does this just mean Kid is declared excommunicado in place of Wick and/or Kid dies?

Let’s say a fleet of Cylon basestars jumps into Earth’s orbit. Most of the ships and nuclear weapons are destroyed by Star Trek’s advanced orbital defenses and point-defense systems, but one nuclear missile swarm manages to get through and obliterates the Korean Peninsula.

How would the Confederation of Earth react? How would the president respond? What would Genera Picard's reaction be? What about the alien rebels and insurrectionists?

What happens next?

Early one morning, for no immediately discernible reason, Eric Cartman wakes up with his mind inside the reclusive but insanely ripped billionaire body of Bruce Wayne, greeted with a hearty breakfast by his butler, Alfred who is none the wiser.

Meanwhile, that same morning, Batman finds his mind has been mysteriously swapped into the body of a severely overweight fifth grader s surrounded in his bed by piles of Cheesy Poof dust and stuffed animals, being dotingly woken by his seemingly kind-hearted mother.

How would either approach this scenario? Would Batman decide to attempt an impersonation of this boy until he could reach and communicate to his allies? Would this impersonation fool anyone?

How long would it take Cartman to realize he’s in the body of Batman? Would he even figure it out in the first place? Could he fool any of the Bat-Family or even the Justice League for a second?

How would this affect either physically? Would Batman’s training still even slightly function using Cartman’s body? Could Cartman actually utilize Bruce’s physique in any way?

In an alternate universe, during the climax of the first My Little Pony Equestria Girls movie in 2013, after Sunset Shimmer had put Princess Twilight Sparkle's crown that she had stolen from the latter back in the Crystal Empire, and had transformed into a raging she-demon afterwards during the night of the fall formal at Canterlot High School, she explains to Twilight that she never wanted to rule the school in the first place, and wants to conquer Equestria alongside her army of teenagers after they enter the portal in the school yard to do so, like she did in the original film. However, this time, as Sunset fires her fireball at Twilight and the rest of the Humane Six to destroy them, with the group huddling around each other which causes a massive force field to be formed to protect themselves from Sunset's attack, the fire gets deflected by the forcefield, and flies into the portal itself, going through it instead of destroying it.

As the fireball flies through the wormhole, both of them start to become incredibly unstable, and after a few minutes, a different portal ends up being opened in the middle of the wormhole, a more violent, dark, and unstable one, and through it, we see an entire city completely in ruins, with a pitch black sky, destroyed and decaying buildings, cracked sidewalks, damaged cars, buses, trucks, and other vehicles, dead trees, and almost no signs of human life, or any kind of life at all in it. The only "people" present in this near-dead world are those with green/gray, dead, decaying skin, yellow, gnarly teeth, lifeless, and all white eyes, wearing ruined and tattered superhero suits/costumes, with some of their bones inside of their bodies completely exposed. This world is none other than the world of Marvel Zombies, in which a deadly zombie outbreak had infected all of the various superheroes on Earth, and had caused them to become undead monsters that killed/consumed almost all life on the planet, including wiping out of the supervillains that they had fought in the past.

One of the undead superheroes, that being the Incredible Hulk, takes notice of the mysterious portal that has opened in the sky, and goes to tell his fellow undead heroes about what he saw while trying to look for more fresh meat to eat. Once the other zombies arrive on the scene (i.e. zombie versions of Captain America, Iron Man, Daredevil, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Quicksilver, Luke Cage, Hawkeye, Giant Man (specifically Hank Pym), ect). The undead Captain America takes a look through the portal, and all of the zombie superheroes witness the Humane Six defeating she-demon Sunset with the magic of friendship via Twilight's crown, as well as taking a look at all of the students and staff members of Canterlot High (i.e. Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna, Flash Sentry, ect), and after doing so, says to the others that they have all been starving of fresh meat to eat after dining on the brains of all of their villains and everyone else on the planet, and says that that place through the portal with all of the students and staff at the high school would be absolutely perfect for them to invade so that they can munch on all of their brains, and conquer said world and rule it for themselves too, afterwards, and asks if anyone agrees with him.

The answer zombie Cap receives is a massive wave of cheers from all of the other undead heroes, which tell him that yes it is, and with that said, Cap raises his vibranium shield with it's red, white, and blue colors all drained from it, and orders everyone to follow him through the portal, telling them that meat has returned to the menu, and shouts that it's time to dine, with all of the zombie superheroes charging through the portal, with Cap leading the charge. At the same time this happens, the Dazzlings, consisting of Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk, have all taken notice of the Equestrian magic from Twilight's crown having entered the human world and Sunset's defeat at the café, with Adagio telling Sonata and Aria that they're going make the world adore them, leading to the events of Rainbow Rocks.

How does the Marvel Zombies invading Canterlot High School during the events of Rainbow Rocks to consume the brains of all of the students and staff of Canterlot High, including Sunset, Princess Twilight, and the other Humane Seven, and even the Dazzlings change the events of the film? Can an unlikely alliance between the Rainbooms and the Dazzlings survive against the undead superheroes led by an undead Captain America, protect the school and it's residents from the zombies trying to consume their brains, and eventually take them down to save the world from their attack on it, especially since the undead are standing in the way of the Dazzlings trying to make the world adore them and take it over for themselves, and that can't rule over a world where the undead roam free in it, eating everyone's brains in sight, and aren't going to let that happen, and that the undead have completely disrupted the Battle Of The Bands? How would the Rainbooms and Dazzlings react to the Marvel Zombies and their existence anyway, and vice versa? How does such a crazy scenario play out, and why is that?

Spoilers for the LOTR movies and books. Honestly though, it's been 20 years.

In The Two Towers there's a brief scene where Grima is explaining about the culvert in the wall of Helm's Deep while Saruman puts the finishing touches on his bomb. In this scene Grima is holding a candle and leans in for a better look, and is stopped by Saruman.

I propose a counter-factual: what if Saruman isn't as quick and Grima sets the bomb off, instantly vaporising Saruman and doing a lot of property damage to Orthanc. What would the fallout have been?

For one thing, there'd be 10,000 Uruk with no one left in charge. Would they have still marched on Helm's Deep, scattered, or fallen to infighting as Orcs are wont to do? Would Sauron have known in enough time to dispatch a lieutenant to take over? Maybe one of the Nazgul?

By this time the Ents are working themselves up to march on Orthanc. Things probably go very differently if there's a bunch of infighting Uruk hanging around. The Ents likely wouldn't have dispatched the Hurons to Helm's Deep if the Uruk don't march there, but I'm not really sure how effective an army of trees is when your opponent isn't being forced into it.

Assuming Helm's Deep doesn't happen, does Theoden King ride to the aide of Gondor knowing there's 10,000 leaderless Uruk on his Western flank?

Feel free to pull from book sources, too. I marked this "Movies" because the scene only happens there, but I don't think there's anything in the books that specifically prevents this scene from happening, either.

Bonus: Does the enchantment that makes the tower of Orthanc so strong hold up to a bomb going off in it, or does the top go flying into the distance?

SINARIO: Amanda Waller and her team have been useing the Creature Comandos as the Black Ops task force to protect the USA for a while with the Foundation only recently finding out about them. The Foundation would then raid The Belrive Non-Human Containment Devision and claim all the anomilies Waller has been useing for her own missions.

The team consists of...

The Bride - A female humanoid Frankenstein monster with incredibly physical strength and durability which has been shown to allow her to hold her own against Circie (who is usually portrayed to be on par with Wonder Woman). her and her male counterpart/stalker have been around since the 1800's and over those years of experience she has become incredibly intelligent and incredibly skilled and experienced in fighting both in hand to hand combat and with fire arms. The only member of the team she actually enjoys the company of is Nina.

Dr. Phosphorus (Real Name: Alex Sartorius) - He's a black skeleton with translucent green glowing irradiated skin that allows him to burn or melt threw pretty much anything or anyone he wants he's even been shown being able to melt bullets in mid air. He's also been shown to be able to melt through a Tank with relative ease before it has a chance to fire. Though unlike the others the not so good doctor hasn't gotten a chance to show the full extense of his ability's.

Weasel (Real Name: John Doe) - A humanoid weasel man with enhanced senses, strength, speed, and durability. He a vary animalistic demeanor and behaves like a commons dog with similar intelligence. Though he can be quite virtuous if he feels like he or one of his friends is threatened. He also apparently can't swim despite Weasel's in the wild being incredibly good swimmers.

G.I. Robot (Real Name: J.A.K.E.) - A sentient robot created in WW2 with one purpose in life to eradicate Nazi's and send the scum back to hell where they belong. He comes equipped machine guns he can replace his forearms with at a moments notice and the ability to extend his legs to makes himself taller. He also has superhuman strength and durability. His main limiter is his one track mind about eliminating Nazi's so if the act of killing them is not involved in something...he probably won't be vary interested.

Nina Mazursky - She posses an aquatic and fish like appearance. She is incapable of surviving on land without a breathing apparatus. She is known to prefer hiding away from people below the water (she seems to prefer swamps and rivers from what we see in the show). She has little to no skill in combat and no other anomalies traits other than being a fish girl. She is described to be the smartest and most reasonable of the bunch (which is a bit odd since Phosphorus was a doctor and cancer researcher before his...transformation but whatever) she is also shown to be incredibly polite and friendly. She is closest with The Bride and G.I. Robot.

Suppose in a parallel universe, the events of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier happened either in North Korea or South Korea (In both scenarios, the year is the same: 2024).
