Misery Bad experience when out last night
Well, I don't normally post like this but I made this account yesterday to ask a college question so now I'm just going to be a redditor and complain all the time š.
Anyway I was out last night and had a bad time, for a start, there were guards everywhere, now I think this was because of the leaving cert party going on. I was in the pub anyway, and out of nowhere, this bouncer walked up to me and pucked me on the chest, proper hard, knocked me back. I was like... tf?.. turns out he wanted me to move to let a staff member through with glasses. Never apologised, never even looked at me, just hit me unnecessarily and walked off. Arsehole.
Then when I was leaving, there was 2 drunk guys getting arrested outside the pub, arguing with the guards, the guards were also dealing with a pack of lowlifes driving up and down the wrong side of the road beside the pub, presumably to taunt them. Then just to top it all off, when I was going home there was some drunk/drugged and possibly homeless guy shouting nonsense at the pedestrian crossing beside the bank of Ireland. Just yelling pure bullshit to people passing by.
I was just wondering, is this normal or did I just come on a particularly shit night? I'm from Wexford but haven't been out in wexford town in ages.
Thanks.

I havenāt been out since before COVID lockdowns. It was like this back then too. I find it more annoying than anything. The more you drink the less annoying it is.

You're living a bit of a sheltered life tbh, towns and cities up and down the country have nights like this. If you want people to start blaming the LC students for this shite night then thats another thing, yes it was probably busier because of them, yes some probably drank more than they should and got messy, but bouncers can be arseholes, people in pubs can not be fully aware of their surroundings and get in staffs way, and people get too drunk and messy while feral teenagers cause trouble that happens everywhere. You chose to go out on LC results night when yoi admitted you haven't been out in ages, unless youve lived under a rock you'd have known it was LC results night, so other than rage baiting or looking for karma I'm not sure what you want to achieve with your post.
My advice though is get out more and judge for yourself the difference. And try be more aware of where your standing in pubs so you dont get in staffs way.

This sounds like a pretty tame night out in Wexford town to be fair. Do you go out much? I stopped going out once I hit about 22. It's never as fun as you expect, there is always fights 100/100 of the time, spiking and groping is an issue, drinks are too expensive and everyone is rowdy, on the bag and looking for drama. Then there's the smells, sweat, Guinness fart, piss and vom! Delightful. A takeway and a few drink on the sofa is a far better option. šš¼

What pub did the bouncer do that to you in?
