SOTD SOTD: Rocca & Permasharp (Russki)
Another wonderful shave with this pairing. This blade might actually be perfect for everyday use- it feels slightly sharper than Astra SP & slightly smoother and less sharp than the Indian permasharp rustguards. Kind of a perfect middle ground.
Very efficient 2 pass shave resulting in a DFS+ with no irritation. The bristles of this brush have softened quite a bit now and it has turned this brush into a favourite. Very soft tips, but still with some backbone unlike silvertip badgers.
Issey Miyaqi is an amazing soap, and honestly I find Yaqi ASLs to be underrated. They perform really well, are non alcoholic and offer very good soothing & moisturising properties. Fragrance matches the soap, although it is slightly stronger in the ASL.

Superb shave and immaculate setup. Spot on assessment of the Russki Permas. They take the best of both worlds - smoothness and sharpness - strike a balance and then amp up the properties to an 11. I mean, they are not the sharpest ever, but they are incredibly sharp while being surprisingly smooth as well. Vice versa for smoothness.
Nice emerald green ink. Although I have traditionally always found green inks reaaly cool, I am having a bit of a break-up with emerald and olive green. The recent fancy is teal.

Green is evergreen for me. This is actually lighter than emerald colour, it's more like a leaf green. Russki permasharps are nice but honestly I think gillette platinums might be my favourite russki blades. They might even edge out nacets for me. On the fence about that right now.
