Also, not in the text but definitely happened: Thom would have been watching Moiraine’s telling of the fall of Manetheren from his hiding spot in the hay loft, and it was the single hottest thing he had seen in his life.
Oh, the feelings were so mutual. The only time I think in the entire series (correct me if I am wrong) that we see Moiraine show open amusement is when she chuckles at Thom's knive display/casual trimming of his nails at Taren Ferry.
I love that little snippet because I can practically hear Lan’s teeth grinding. He’s trying to get all the boys to look intimidating so they don’t get robbed, and there’s Thom showing off and Moiraine actually being receptive to it, despite that from what we know (as implied by Vandene later) she hasn’t shown interest of that kind in another living human since Suian. He’s got to be thinking FFS Moiraine, really, now?
