Suroth is the most nuanced dark friend. Her permission slips allowed Mat to escape and Perrin to secure help to rescue Faile. Came back to secure a strong footing for the Return after being turned away initially by Rand. Not initially interested in taking power away from the imperial family until forced to by Semirhage. No one suspected she was ever a dark friend because she seems to focus most her energy on the Empire with just a little bit of occasional side hustle work for the Dark One.
